Thomas M. Preston Partnership purchased an 8,750-square-foot industrial building located at 5720 and 5724 North Interstate 35 Industrial Boulevard from M.L. Young Development LLC for $565,000. The building was built in 1983. Oklahoma City Abstract & Title Co. handled the closing.

Members of the Edmond and metro area business and real estate communities meet monthly to be updated and informed about new developments in the business community, recent business relocations and expansions and upcoming Edmond projects, as well as gather the latest economic statistics about Edmond, exchange information on real estate listings, compare leads and listen to informative speakers. Meetings are held at 8 a.m. on the 3rd Friday of each month at the EEDA's offices, 825 E. Second Street.

County Commissioner Ray Vaughn will make a presentation on the 5 propositions on the May 13th Oklahoma County bond election ballot. These items include a $55 million bond issue to acquire the more than 3.8 million square foot former GM facility. The other 4 propositions include flood control issues in the Deer Creek area and construction and maintenance of County facilities at a cost of $29.5 million for a total package of $84.5 million.
