Tax Foundation listed Oklahoma as having the 5th lowest state and local tax burden per capita for 2007.

CDBG Loan Program
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program is designed to create and retain permanent, private sector job opportunities, principally for low and moderate-income households while increasing the tax base in Edmond. Loans should produce at least one new or retained permanent, full-time equivalent job for each $9,000 of CDBG money, with 51% of jobs created available to low to moderate households.

Bricks and Clicks Revolving Loan Program
The Bricks Revolving Loan Program is designed to provide downtown business owners with funds for exterior renovations in an effort to restore the historic image of the area and increase the value of the buildings. These loans are offered at no interest for 18 months and pay for up to 75 percent of the costs, not to exceed $10,000. The Clicks program offers no interest loans to be used for e-commerce Web sites in an effort to enhance downtown business through the Internet. Loans are provided for up to 75 percent of the project, not to exceed $5,000.
