Airports


Edmond is served by two local airports. Will Rogers World Airport is located 25 miles south of Edmond and Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport is located 7 miles north of Edmond.

Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport
The Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport, located seven miles north of Edmond, is operated through an intergovernmental agreement established in 2004 between the City of Edmond and City of Guthrie. With almost $12 million invested in the airport over the last eight years, several significant capital improvements have been made including jet capable taxiways, lighting, security fencing, a terminal building and a Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) approach. In 2007, the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport became an official Foreign Trade Zone site. More than 80 planes and several aviation companies are located at the airport.

Will Rogers World Airport
Located 25 miles south of Edmond, Will Rogers World Airport serves the community for all commercial travel. Operating three runways-two 9,800-ft parallel runways and one 7,800-ft crosswind runway-Will Rogers World Airport can accommodate any size aircraft. Commercial carriers at Will Rogers average about 85 departures per day. In 2004, passenger enplanements and deplanements reached 3,379,883, and nearly 71 million pounds of freight and mail either arrived or departed from the facility. Currently, Will Rogers is home to 67 companies, including the FAA's Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, the Federal Bureau of Prisons Transfer Center, Southwest Airlines Reservation Center and the Metro Tech Aviation Career Center. Along with its vast landscape and central location, Will Rogers World Airport encompasses Oklahoma City's Foreign Trade Zone.
