Edmond Public School District contracts with local tech company for online inventory management services
The Edmond Public School District has contracted with Edmond-based InControlSoft, Inc. for physical inventory and data management services. InControlSoft's (www.incontrolsoft.com) Web-based software is designed to help Oklahoma school districts track, depreciate and report their fixed assets. Edmond software firm corners Vegas market
From housekeepers to dancers to executives, an Edmond-based human resources company has captured the majority of the gaming community along the Las Vegas Strip and is fast moving in on the Oklahoma market. HRLogix helps companies - such as MGM Grand, The Borgota and Stratosphere - save time and resources with its Web-based applicant tracking system, automating the hiring, recruiting and documentation process. Illinois firm picks Edmond firm's inflation system
Airgo Systems Inc. of Edmond has been selected as the tire inflation system provider by Midwest Utility Inc., based in Burr Ridge, Ill. Airgo is a manufacturer and distributor of commercial tire monitoring, maintenance, and inflation systems and a member of the Dominion Group of Companies. Midwest Utility is sells trailers through about 80 dealers. Midwest Utility's customers have fleets as large as 30,000, requiring high-volume, repeat sales of trailers and trailer equipment. An Edmond CPA was recently inducted into the Oklahoma Accounting Hall of Fame during the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountant's annual awards ceremony. Richard R. UCO gets new shuttle service
Metro Transit has started a new shuttle service this week for apartment dwelling students who attend the University of Central Oklahoma. The new route, which will run 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, will allow anyone with a valid UCO ID to ride free, saving students gas money and the $70 cost of a UCO parking permit. If you're up early enough and you happen to be in the vicinity of 100 E. First Street in Edmond, chances are you'll find yourself in the midst of a convoy of campers, vans, pickups and trucks. Follow them. They're headed for the Edmond Farmers' Market. Pull into a spacious, paved parking lot. Watch as venders unload and arrange their wares. Dig not so very deeply into your pocket and purchase samplings of their offerings to take home to the family. Do it now. Economic Development Partners this Friday
This month's ED Partners meeting will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. July 16 at the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce building, 825 E. Second St. The Economic Development Partners Council is jointly operated by the Edmond Economic Development Authority and the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce. The Council meets the third Friday of each month to be updated on new developments in the business community. The meetings last an hour and involve a review of statistical data, recent business relocations and expansions and upcoming Edmond projects. Our speaker will be Bob Schiermeyer, Edmond City Planner.
